On Such A Fair Night,
She Wondered About With No Sight
.

The soft shade of an apricot orange painted the sky, the sun barely hanging high. The wind played with the grass, the tree leaves giggled in the wind as they rustled, the birds sang their goodnights, as for the day was coming to a closure; for soon, the moon would be swimming in the night-time sky, stars lighting its way. A dazed look of relaxation tumbled across the face of a taciturn being, her bizarre eyes staring straight ahead as she wondered through the busied streets of this over populated city. An odd, yet aesthetic being she was; not mortal, nor immortal. Just...betwixt the two marvelous creations from God. The defined features that had been sculpted upon her face could have turned any futile male's heart to boisterous embers, just in one glance of her paralyzing eyes of violet, and that tantalizing smile of marbled lips and perfectly white teeth. This deadly, yet innocent mishap cruised through the busy city with a tedious doll-like face, eyes hard and sharp like that of a basilisk's. Upon her body, she wore a navy blue dress that hugged her body too well, the straight-neck-line scooping softly low and revealing her jutting collar bones. A black leather jacket was worn to hold in warmth, as well as a pair of black stockings that ran down this being's long, toned legs. The clacking of her high-heels clanked within her ears, but just like the other futile soundtracks around her, these clacks fell silent to her. The night time lights casted low upon her high cheek bones now as she passed under the street lamps, giving such extraordinary definition to her youthful face; she had indeed appeared older than her actual of of seventeen due to such a luminous glow playing with her sharp features. As this young lady strolled the loud streets, her sandy, pale-blonde hair bellowed behind her gently in the trickling breeze as she, the soft glow of the orange sky above complimenting her porcelain skin. The ethereal young woman walked about with quiet demeanor, the art of nature cradling this flawless being with calmness as it wrapped her up in a blanket of adjourn reality; she didn't dare to give the world her share. A share of what, though? Identity. So close, ever so close had her eyelashes almost fall to reunite with the neighboring bottom eyelashes, the sounds of honking cars and chatty people being drowned out. What to do? Where to go? I've never been in such a city that brought vertigo.

***

The night sky now hid the drowsiness of the darkened clouds and bright shining stars, as the towering onyx sky blanketed the busy city, the lit up streets revealing the lively citizens in their illuminating lights. The ocean of people swimming within the crowded streets suffocated Ivory, pushing and shoving her fragile self here and there. The seventeen year old wasted so much time wandering about; but it was okay—the moon was bright on this lovely night. Much sauntered with haste, others walked without a care in this world. Belonging to the group of the careless, Ivory was quite unaware of the faces all around her, unaware of the world, and unaware of where she was going... She just walked. To where, though? Who knew. The sound of gentle strumming of guitar strings slithered through her ears as she passed by a man on the curb playing an acoustic, stopping for a hesitant moment to listen. It was soothing... Very soothing. The chords he played had a relaxing vibe, the violet melody swarming the busy streets with such simplicity. She felt at peace. This music... It... Kneeling down slowly, she crouched down and held out a twenty dollar bill, the beautiful music coming to a halt. The man looked up at her, a puzzling look casted amongst his face. The violet-eyed girl just stared at him in such awkward silence, holding out the money still. "Look, young lady... I wasn't playing for money..." he informed her, looking back down to pick up his guitar pick. It was silent between the two, yet she still remained crouching down and holding out the money; she never said a word. A silent doll. Instead, she just sat there and stared at him with glimmering eyes, wide yet swollen with warmth. The man's head slowly cranked up, his eyes stinging with such curiosity and a dash of gratefulness as he gazed at the money. He looked at it as if it were the Holy Grail. Reaching out slowly, he took it with a trembling hand and crumbled it in his hand. "Thank you..." he whispered, Ivory rising gracefully and walking past him without another word. For, bringing peace to those who are struggling in this corrupted world... I should be the one to say thanks. Looking down, the silent angel watched her feet step by step, not bothering to watch where she was goi—Oof~! With a head on collision, the girl stumbled backwards a few steps, her fragile hand flying up to her forehead as she held it. "Ow..." she uttered, the simple word brushing off of her pale, marbled lips like a symphony of dazzling bells. When she opened a single eye to peer at whom she walked into, it'd be quite the surprise.

.: The Night of Topaz :. [Raiden] Empty Re: .: The Night of Topaz :. [Raiden]

Post by Raiden Wed Mar 06, 2013 9:18 pm

The night was not the same for Irie as it was everyone else, people rest, sleep, party, drink or lay with a loved one. Irie had dedicated most every night of his life to protecting the weak from the strong, the insane and otherwise freaks. The slender seventeen year old boy who mustered through schooldays and dealing with bullies everyday had to fight a war on two fronts. He sat in his bedroom staring at the trunk that contained his equipment, he got on one knee and opened the latch entering a code. Slowly he adoned his mixture of silvers and grays and blacks. Finally putting on his visor, covering his jaw line and covering his face from the public.

He jumped out his window and started to watch for any wrong doing from the rooftops, tonight was especially quiet. It was strange, he hasn't had a night where he was constantly helping someone. He decided to checkout another part of the town where people can normally be found doing devious things. He jumped from tree top and roofs until he made it to the nearby park. Landing down on a walkway without a sound like the wind he just was there. He didn't notice the frail blonde walking his way, the thing about this girl was Iries definition of bombshell beautiful, and he froze up like a boulder in the middle of the side walk and she crashed right into him.

"Ahh uhh s-soorry"

Irie when in his suit was the text book classic badass, but without he was usually meak and unable to speak to women. She cut through his false persona rather quickly. And he was mentally kicking himself in the head for it. Nobody was really ever supposed to be even close to him, especially in this lighting, because it may be possible to catch a glimpse of his face.

On Such A Fair Night,
She Wondered About With No Sight.

"Ahh uhh s-soorry," a cool voice trembled and fumbled a myriad of vowels, much to Ivory's surprise. With both lilac eyes open now, she childishly rubbed her forehead for a moment longer before allowing her hand to fall slightly away from her face, revealing the rather faint mark  from their collision. Pursing her lips together in a straight line, she allowed her genetically modified eyes to calculate all levels of suspicion that clung to this man like a disease; this man appeared to be wearing some kind of  cybernetic exoskeleton... Why? Who knew...this bizarre city was a mere illusion, with many odd people and species; the appearance of this man's attire was brushed aside for now by Ivory, her squinting eyes now relaxing as the next second shred across the clock, taking part in creating a minute. The advantage of being a Verdelet. Locks of white snow fell somewhat in his eyes, which held some sort of emotion that she could recall learning not too long again. Shock. A state of emotion in which many froze in. Why was he shock?

Her eyes softly widened, her cheeks perfuming a hue of pink just then. The silence was just do awkward..."It's okay," she momentarily spoke up in that mesmerizing voice of hers; that voice that held many with its fluctuating, feverish warmth because it couldn't be over-dreamed. Her voice was a deathless song, a voice that was created in order to lure in her prey. An easy tactic used to put them to their endless slumber... "But are you okay? I mean, I'm sure you are with your...armor, more so to speak...heh." Her small, insecure laughter at the end of her sentence came off so reassuring, instead of uncertain like most heh's would. She just came of graceful...naturally. Not knowing what to do, she hesitantly dug her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket and chewed on her bottom lip.

Irie shook his head left and right to let him get ahold of himself and regain his composure. His cheeks glowing a slight red underneath the visor, possibly visible to anyone who may be shorter than him in the right lighting. He stood in place a little awkward really. He listened to her laughs and she said that it was okay even after getting a good look at how he appeared, most people that he ends up facing are hesitant to even speak and typically cower away from him. He quickly cleared his throat and muffled his voice a little so that nobody could hear his real voice.

"You seem pretty calm for seeing a.. Monster"

He paused before thinking of an appropriate word for someone who's able to take the lives of others. He protects others granted but he can't deny the fact that what he does is also taking the lives of others as well in some cases, mostly putting them behind bars or in the one case where he was forced to take a life. He thought about her voice when she just spoke and it was ringing in his head like a song stuck on his brain. He stepped back a little out of the light.

On Such A Fair Night,
She Wondered About With No Sight.

"You seem pretty calm for seeing a...monster." A monster? This man? Upon hearing such choice of diction from this man, her eyes narrowed by the slightest bit as she studied his face, which partially would have been covered due to the placement of some sort of visor; but because of her short height of five foot seven, she past his masquerade mask. Just then she parted her lips to interject such a word, but then he took a step back, his figure segueing into the darkness, now out of the street lamp's hovering light. Her eyebrows flew downward in a scrunched manner, a dash of rue splashing her alabaster complexion. "N-no, no I'm not scared of you. I've seen worse, trust me," she uttered out gently in a coaxing tone, reaching out her hand in reassurance.

Though, he stood within the dark still, so she lowered her hand and crossed her arms over her chest. "Look," she started, putting all of her weight on her right leg, the hip cocked outward as she relaxed her left leg. "I didn't mean...to offend you in any way...if I somehow did," she stated, looking quite upset. A face of a doleful one. "I doubt you're a monster." If only she had remembered her past, she could easily reassure him that he wasn't a foul beast, when standing next to her... Those frail hands of satin had snapped a myriad of necks, tore open many chests, ripped off countless limbs; they were destructive, built to send those who were not wanted to hell. She was a demon in her past. But now, with her memory completely wiped out...? Her paralyzing eyes of violet fell softly with empathy just then, her parted lips pulling back into an oddly understanding smile—much more than understanding. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it. It faced—or seemed to face—the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on that being to whomever it was that she was smiling at—this suited man in this case—with an irresistible prejudice in his favor.  Her smile understood him so far as he wanted to be understood, believed in him as he would like to believe in his own being and assured him that it had precisely the impression of him that, at his best, he hoped to convey. It was simply one of those rare smiles that wielded innocent kindness. This Verdelet was harmless, for now.

Irie couldn't understand why should she would be smiling at this time, he didn't understand this girl; "Different from others huh.." he mumbled underneath his breath turning his chin a little to get a good look at her face. Underneath the mask he was still just a teenage boy who couldn't help but notice a cute teenage girl when he'd seen one, he hadn't noticed he'd been staring. He crossed his arms as well, his slender arms followed down to his medium sized hands, or claws more like it in this suit; they were made so if he had lost his sword he'd still be able to do some cutting with some pretty sharp looking nails.

Irie kept his strong gaze fixed on her face and began to wonder what exactly this girl was doing out here, she obviously wasn't like most girls and that led his imagination to wander to the extreme. "You're not out here doing anything.. bad are you?" Irie asked with a hesitant, raspier than normal voice masking his own. He looked her up and down, checking for any sign of a weapon hidden on her person with his nano eye, it allowed him to sense heat levels, she seemed normal; to a normal girl he may have just came off as a pervert checking them out.

The angel's face of silk was held downward just the , her hand rising once again to rub her mark upon her forehead, as if the touch would somehow subdue the throbbing pain. His...suit was quite hard. From under the thick fringe of eyelashes, her violet eyes peered up at him fully now, her features soft, yet blaring with confusion. Different from the others, huh... Such a mumble could not have been picked up by any human, but his silent words had aroused her auditory sensors and permeated her cochlea. Not really...

For a brief moment, before he had spoken once more, Ivory's eyes observed him carefully in one single blink, picking up certain things connected to his appearance: not a bad lookin' guy. If only she could see his face fully—"You're not out here doing anything.. bad are you?" hesitance layered his voice, such a question causing her eyes to widen by a smidgen. "Of course not..." she murmured in somewhat of a hurt tone; did she seem like that type? The kind to do bad things? Tilting her head at an angle, her lanky hair gently brushed over her shoulder, her eyes taking cover amongst the citizens. In an insecure fashion, she shoved her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket and stared at the oblivious beings, her eyes cooly mellow. "When you're home all alone, all day, it's sometimes nice to walk around downtown. Being apart of the crowd? It's not so lonely," she softly mentioned, her hand leaving its comforting home and wavering towards the endless traffic of unknown faces.

When this celestial being turned back around to look at him, she accidentally caught his eyes escalating up and down her body, as if he were checking her out. Shocked from such an action, Ivory slightly flinched, making a slight tch noise as she bit the inside of her cheeks, feeling the blood boil deeply under her skin. "H-hey!" she hesitantly gasped, her eyebrows knitting downward in a manner of expressing slight vexation, and her tiny fists balled up—now at her sides. Abruptly, her right hand lurched out towards the man and grasped onto the collar of his chest plate, pulling him down effortlessly to her level with abnormal brute strength. Different from the others...yes. "Who do you think you are, checking me out after asking such a question like that!?" she barked, her voice trembling out of embarrassment. Her soft cheeks were dabbed so feverishly with a faint red hue, that her blush had been evident to the naked eye.

Post by Raiden Sat Mar 09, 2013 3:47 am

Irie couldn't help but notice she kept inspecting his face, he wasn't very good with women in the first place and being so close to one he was attracted to weakened his bravo to an extent; bringing him back to earth. She seemed to just be bored and out in the park, but who knows evil could come in all shapes and sizes..especially these days. Irie realized the way he had looked her up and down could have been a bad idea after he saw the look on the girls face.

"Ahh!"

Slipped from his mouth when what seemed like the strength of a bodybuilder pulling him down; "Totally uncool.." he murmered to himself as he realize he may have sounded like an idiot. "It wasn't what you think it was!" he exclaimed before trying to regain his cool. His face was burning as he felt embarrassed. He looked up through his visor and noticed her blush, and hadn't known what to think of it.

“It wasn't what you think it was!” he exclaimed, face burning like the flickering wick of a dying candle. Ivory's right eye twitched as she processed his words, her fist tightening around his armor. “It wasn't what I thought it was!? Then what was it! Do I seriously look like the type to carry a gun or something!? You can search me all you want, but you'll find nothing!” she cried dramatically with frustration, her nose twitching like a bunny as she got really annoyed and somewhat offended. So it appeared that she came off like the threatening type; that's what she was getting from this guy. At this thought, she suddenly became legitimately angry, a deep dent forming between her crinkled brow. The thing was, though she had looked ever so furious, her angered features still came off astonishingly beautiful; and it was kinda' cute, seeing this petite girl get all fired up, and it was kinda' funny, almost to the point where it'd make one think to themselves, ‘I want to piss her off for as long as we both shall live. Just because it's funny to see.’ Her serpant-like eyes scouted out his own to see if his words were the shadows of a bluff; to no avail, she found nothing. Finally taking note of his burnt cheeks, Ivory's lilac eyes widened and she let go, confused to why he too, had been blushing. Perhaps just like her, he had been embarrassed.

Muttering a few silent words under her breath, she sighed heavily and slithered out of her leather jacket, revealing her bare shoulders, ow that it was evident that her dress had been strapless. Turning it over and shaking it, she glared at the man with adorable frustration. “See? Nothing. Absolutely nothing,” she reassured in a mutter, even turning the pockets inside out. Exposed to the cold weather, gooseflesh invaded her skin, but she ignored the chilled feeling that overwhelmed her; she was too riled up in showing this armored dude that she was innocent.

Irie had learned from experience that you can never be too trusting when it came to just about anybody, so he didn't really realize that sometimes; some people can just be trusted. She revealed to him that she wasn't carrying any sort of a weapon or danger to anyone, he couldn't contain the astonishment as he saw her collar bones and shoulders, putting his hand to his face. For a daring looking cyborg ninja, he was quite the awkward mess. "Alright alright, I'm sorry, I just was.. you know?" He noticed her heat levels plummet when she was hit with a gust of wind, and his enhanced eye wear was able to pick up that it make her skin react in goose bumps.

"You probably shouldn't stay too much longer out here, you know?"

Irie said the saying you know, quite a bit he usually said it when he was talking fast or in a rush to get what he was saying across. He reached into the backpack he carried with him and pulled out a long red scarf, not really realizing but he was normally seen wearing this around school and other places; it was pretty distinct. By the time he had handed it over to her it came to his realization that his generosity may have been a bad move on his part there.

After he saw that she was empty-handed, he apologized shortly after—much to her relief. Exhaling deeply, she nodded in understanding to his words and rose a hand, wavering it at him. “If anything, I'm sorry. Shouldn't have gotten all fired up. My offended reaction could have only supported your thought,” she explained, rubbing the back of her head out of embarrassment. "You probably shouldn't stay too much longer out here, you know?" She stopped rubbing her head when she heard him speak, her eyes glancing up at the brute now. What was he doing...? A red item came into view just then, and her eyes widened in realization to what it was: a scarf. How...generous. A slight smile warmed the corner of her lips, and her eyes fell softly. She hadn't realized that she was actually cold until the idea of a scarf was put before her. Slipping back into her jacket, she gently took the scarf and held it in her hands, studying it for a moment. “...I've seen this scarf...before,” she mumbled under her breath, rubbing the fabric between her fingers. Her eyes darted towards the man from under her eyelashes, recognition sparking greatly within her violet irises. “Do you got to Omoi Ame High School?” she asked curiously, the scarf clutched closely to her chest. Though she had started there just a week ago, she had a good memory, and this scarf...the color was something one wouldn't forget, if seen frequently.

He was glad that she had accepted his gift, he would've felt like a fool if she hadn't though he understood why she might not have wanted to take it from him in the first place. He gave a short and sweet smile, trying to hide the fact that he was now becoming nervous of the scarf. He crossed his arms and looked down at her for a moment, thoughts ran through his head wondering why he had stuck around here for so long; he couldn't come up with a reason for it and shook his head quickly. Iries eyes suddenly shot open for just a short moment at the mention of the High school. He kept quiet for a good moment, he wasn't sure what to say.

"Do I look like a student to you..honestly?"

He murmured as he turned around rubbing the back of his head, his distinctly blonde, almost snow-white colored hair. He closed his eyes and moved his hand from the back of head to crossing his chest, "Why would you even ask me something like that?" He questioned the young girl softly. Mentally kicking himself, he slowly turned back around looking at her through his visor he was studying her face trying to figure out what her head may think.

"Do I look like a student to you..honestly?"

The beauty in her face contorted only by a smidgen. Had he looked like a student? With this armored get-up of his, it was truly hard to tell. Her piercing eyes locked on his face, curiosity flickering like a lurid beast within the depths of her eyes. He whisked around, the sight of his pallid blonde hair—almost white—catching her eye. But such a hint was very broad...there were a lot of men with heads under the protection of a platinum hue. A few short moments later, he turned around, and she again concentrated on his face. His lips had moved once more, but no words filtered her ears; she was too focused on analyzing what little exposure of his face that she could get. But it hit her then that his vocalizations should be recorded, as well. Tuning back, she caught the very last few words that he spoke, having hooked the timbre of his voice. Sifting through her memories that the school provided her, she tried going through each voice she had ever heard—it was easy for Verdelet's to catch every sound, image, and action one could make, and be able to recall it with simplicity. His voice though was not a tune she had heard specifically, so her eyes had gently narrowed... Perhaps he's deepening it, to throw off those who he encounters. Replaying his voice once more in her chaotically modified mind, she played with different tunes, shredding levels of deepness until recognition sparked her parched mind. She hadn't gone too far down on the octaves until—

" Irie Takizawa ," she whispered in a voice so melodious, his name rolling off her tongue in such a charming manner. Leaning forward, she reached up and cupped the side of his face, pushing it gently; it was definitely him. He was a boy who was in a one of her classes, but due to the fact that she started just four days ago, she didn't blame him for not knowing her soul. She was unnoticed by the school's population, because she purposely avoided all contact with anyone. "You sit in the front near the window, in physics," she stated, smiling at her recognition; she lowered her hand. "I pass by you in the hallway every morning," she mentioned momentarily, looking down at the scarf. "Quite offended that you'd keep your identity from me," she teased in a sullen whisper, glancing back up at him.

What the..?

Iries heart rate dropped to zero for a few moments and he broke into a cold sweat, he was careless. But..but how could just some girl from school be able to figure out who he was, when he hardly knew her well enough, or anyone for that matter to have noticed and pin pointed such keen details about him. His jaw clenched for a moment and slowly unstressed itself, parting open for a moment as he thought for something to say, falling short for words he raised his hand and placed it over hers. He stared down at her, the piercing gaze behind his visor into her eyes; he gently grasped her small hand into his cold, metallic, almost unhuman feeling palm and removed her hand from his face; still grasping it he spoke.

"I think you have me.. confused for someone else"

Irie then looked off to his side, as if even he couldn't believe his lies anymore, hardly take them any longer. He was just a boy, this phase in his life he was meant to be discovering numerous things, like friendships, relationships; and he had spent every night looking out for people whom he had no connection with, other than being the 'man' who protected the weak. Maybe deep down, he was just growing tired; there are times where he wanted to give up; but he felt an obligation to follow his dream; his fathers dream.

They said the best thing a girl could be in this world was a beautiful little fool. But Ivory here, or Anemone Fumio—test subject V1666—to be precise, was horrifyingly, and unfortunately, no fool. Had he thought she was dumb? Imperfect eyes that imitated the birthstone of February  widened, the pupils of the beholder shrinking in dismay. Once were clear, beautiful varieties of purples... But now the pools dreadfully fell to a dull hue, a horrid storm trembling within her eyes as she calculated his words, causing the rough seas to become dark and menacing; the irises of tribulation and despondency He...she could have sworn...but... Why was he lying? It made no sense. Had he not wanted her to know him at all...? Ivory had been sure that it was him... It's not like she had a choice to choose between being alive and being dead; she was born a brilliant corpse. Critical, analytical, and sharp. She was created in hopes of resuscitating the Fumio family's reputation, through the discovery of advanced cloning techniques and strands of DNA stolen from the corpse of a family dame, along with her "father's" own DNA. It wasn't like she had the choice of being born with such incredulous intellect and abnormal observational skills. Her observations that she had done among this man had came to her naturally, because of her true species. If she had the sluggish mind of a mere mortal, then she wouldn't have ever known the boy due to lack of such a complex, advanced brain. This girl had been born with a phenomenally high level of genius intelligence, in order to achieve the Vendetta Corporation's dreams by possessing unmatched intelligence. She was able to demonstrate extraordinary aptitude in every subject known, and was furthermore biologically modified to make her a pure bred Verdelet. If she could only remember what she truly was, she wouldn't be here due to such disgust. And if she had remembered what she truly was, perhaps she would have carried out the true purpose of a Verdelet, and obliterated every soul here with her bare hands.

But due to no memory, no memory at all, here she was—innocent and sensitive and harmless to the world. This girl had warm blood running through her veins, and soft skin licking her body; she had to of been human. To those who never knew her past, of course. But like those oblivious fools, she too, had no recall. The poor, beautiful, little fool was convinced she was just like any other human in this city. With how easily she had recalled his identity, she never thought of it unusually weird—she just thought she had a miraculous memory. But little had she truly known... The grey brute rose a metallic hand and placed it over her own; it swallowed her fragile hand of porcelain effortlessly. His eyes looked down on her own, and for that moment she tried to read his eyes through that annoying visor—to peer into them and see his intentions that swam within his irises, to catch a glimpse of any reason to why he had acted like she was erroneous. The cold metal that had touched the heated palm of her hand now disappeared, as he took her hand away; the muscles around her mouth formed an unnoticeable frown. It was there in the flecks towards his pupils, evident to the observable girl, that she recognized uncertainty, and that perhaps he just didn't want to be revealed.

"You're right," she dazzlingly choked out, clearing her throat. "I must have you mistaken as someone else," she pathetically lied, just going with his wish now. Gently she pulled her hand out of his and looked down at the scarf. "Common misunderstanding. Many have...red scarfs and deep voices, heh," she commented quietly,  reaching out and grabbing his hand; she turned it over, and placed the long scarf in his grasp. "I guess I should go. Getting late and all...you know?" she conjured some excuse that purposely ended with his most used phrase, shoving her hands into her pockets as she slowly started to back away.

Irie began to notice the expression on her face change from a number of emotions, none of them seemed favorable. She seemed so sure it was him, in the back of his mind he began to wonder if it were so bad if someone were to know, at the very least it was this girl who seemed to know him well enough to figure out it was him as strange as it seemed to him. His mind began to wander and he thought maybe the girl was like secretly in love with him and she knew everything about him, he quickly shook that thought away. He looked down at her and put his cold hands on her shoulders and took one hand back and pulled back his visor slowly, revealing his face to her. He tried not to look so serious. Slowly cracking a smile, he spoke ever so softly.

"Our little secret..?"

He spoke more of a statement than it was a question. He decided he would just wait for her reaction, then speak once more if he could even think of anything to say. He was wondering just what she was thinking right now, and was placing his faith in her that she wouldn't mention to anyone that Irie Takizawa was the somewhat infamous vigilante.

Her heels clacked loudly against the cold concrete sidewalk as she took a few steps back, twisting her body to turn around, and abandon this awkward game of lies. Though, the sudden touch of cold metal had seeped through her jacket and permeated her skin, causing her eyes to widen. What the— Softly she was twisted back around, the firm grasp upon her shoulders pulling her back towards the metallic brute. Rather confused and flabbergasted, she limply fell in place before him and stared up at him with blank eyes. He pulled a claw away from her shoulder in order to reach his visor, and pushed it back, revealing that familiar face of his.

His snowy locks fell gently before his pallid eyes of ice, his skin looking ever so soft and pale. Searching his face, she stared curiously as she soaked in his appearance at a much closer range, whereas at school, they were always so far from each other. Both absorbed in their own little world that their minds had created for them during the dragging hours of school. A slight smile kissed his lips, and her eyes were then infiltrated with such warmth at such a sight. "Our little secret..?" he whispered in what was tuned more as a statement, rather than a question. Staring with disbelief, a soft smile of her own pursed her marbled lips, and she nodded gently. "Our own little secret," she confirmed in a promising whisper, raising her hand to place it over his own that had held the visor back, and pulled it back down to once more cover his identity. She doubted that anyone saw; the two had been off to the side near an alley. Besides, humans were oblivious to the world, anyways. "What should I call you...?" she whispered then, her eyes bright with stoic hues of lilac.

Post by Raiden Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:34 am

Irie continued to stare down at her as she turned to see his face for what had seemed like the first time. Sure they had seen eachother in class but they'd never really been in face to face conversation. His heart began pounding a mile a minute, he hadn't been so nervous in quite a while actually. The look on his face was evident of that, shortly she had pulled the visor back down over the most of his face, only leaving part his cheek and mouth. She agreed and said it was their secret, then asking what he should be called by her. Pausing for a moment he looked up at the dark clouds,

" I am lightning, the rain transformed.. Call me Raiden."

He said with a rather serious tone, he was trying to seem heroic in away. He thought the name suited him, he had a few others in his mind before like the "White Devil" or a few others, he gained a nick name from local authorities, he heard rumors and read online of a masked swordsman whom they liked to call "Jack The Ripper" he didn't like that one at all.

He paused for a moment to ponder her question, looking up towards the nighttime sky. As he did, she studied his head gear, trying to see why it had been necessary, besides covering his true identity. "I am lightning, the rain transformed... Call me Raiden." Ivory stared at him for a moment after he proposed such a name. "Raiden...not a bad name," she muttered, the name having brushed softly off of her lips when she spoke it. Raiden...such a unique name. "Alright. Raiden it is. The name's Ivory," she chimed with a smirk, about to reach out to knock on his visor in a teasing manner, but the ferocious sound of a gurgle erupted from her stomach out of nowhere, and she glanced down at her stomach with wide eyes. "Heh!" she laughed nervously, punching her stomach as her cheeks turned red out of embarrassment. "Stupid stomach..." she muttered, her eyebrow twitching as it continued to growl. "I uh, I haven't eaten all day...would you like to have dinner with me? Get out of this cold and eat something? I'll pay," she offered just then, smiling slightly.

Irie couldn't help but hold a small smile as she agreed with the name, perhaps he did make the right choice for his alias, he thought it held a certain something to it and had a ring to it. He had a rather loud growling come down from her tummy, and watched her face then turn red, he knew how she felt; embarrassment was common to him. He robbed the back of his head shortly shaking his snowy hair. She suggested they go eat if he'd like, he had worked up an appetite but he wonders what she had in mind. He couldn't just remove the suit in the middle of this park.

"People might not take so kindly to a robot sitting in the booth next to them."

Irie said with a half joking manner, but he was really wondering what to do, because he really did want to go somewhere with her, I mean when else would a girl just ask him to do something like this? He thought to himself, such an inconvenience it was to be the way he is..

"People might not take so kindly to a robot sitting in the booth next to them," he said in a joking manner, rubbing that back of his head. Ivory mouthed oh, as she had completely forgotten that his get up here was not something people were used to seeing as attire. Tapping her chin with a long porcelain finger, her paralyzingly eyes glanced up, the stars above reflecting in the glimmer of the captured light. "I suppose I could cook us dinner back at my house," she suggested, her fragile shoulders shrugging slightly. It wasn't even late out, which had meant that Trever—the man who basically was taking care of her—would still be on duty as an O.A.P.D officer. He usually came home fairly late.

"Are you okay with that? At my place, you won't have to worry about people seeing your face and judging your attire," she suggested, grabbing his hand. "Unless you'd like to go to your place, which ever you are most comfortable with, Raiden," she assured him with a smile. She hadn't blamed him for not wanting to eat out, people would bore stares into the guy... But now a new concern hit her: was the house even clean!? For a short moment her eyes glossed with panic, but she glanced up at Raiden and smiled hesitantly. If so I'll just have to quickly clean up. With Ivory's speed, a hoarded house could be cleaned spotless under a minute. So in this case—Trever's shit lying around that he ALWAYS leaves out even though she chastising him about it—would be a piece of cake. Besides, if the house had been a tiny bit messy, it would have been okay. Because it wasn't like he was coming over for wine and sex, like in the movies. Well, the few movies she's ever seen with Trever had scenes like so. But she was just going to prepare a nice dinner, or if there's nothing in the house, she'd just call for pizza.

Irie wasn't sure how that would go, he didn't know if his place would had been suitable to bring a girl to; especially not a cute girl. His face looked pretty embarrassed at the thought of it, his room had a few posters of anime shows he enjoyed, and some action figures; then a layout of the city on the wall. He shook his head and looked down at Ivory "Ehh.. your place would probably be better than mine, you know?" he said, and there he goes with the 'you know' again, he always said it at the end of his sentences when he became nervous about something.

"I just hope I won't be a burden while I'm there."

He said nervously, wondering about where he'd put his suit, he could probably take it off while he was over there, he did have his clothes with him. He wondered what kinda food she would make, he was never around for home cooked meals anymore, he sorta felt guilty about leaving his mother alone everynight, but he had no choice anymore; he had an obligation to carry out. He motioned for her to take the lead, and he would follow behind, in the shadows so nobody would see the two of them together. He didn't want anything that involved him now have to involve her if and when the ghosts of his past came back to haunt him.

Smiling softly, she watched as Raiden looked down, embarrassment tickling his features that hid beneath his visor. "Ehh.. your place would probably be better than mine, you know?" Laughing melodically at his 'ya know's she nodded in agreement and laced her fingers together behind her back, the soft threads of her golden hair brushing them. "I just hope I won't be a burden while I'm there," he added, causing her smile to fade. "No, no you wouldn't be a burden! Please don't think that!" she reassured, wavering her hands in between the two now. "Really, you'll be fine."

Seeing his indication for her guidance, she nodded understandingly and walked passed him, her irises mirroring those of a callous heart. Placing her hands back into her pockets, she once more fell into a silent being, a mere regular amongst the hearts of mortals. Just like those around her, she had soft flesh, and warm blood that pumped feverishly through her veins. She was human, right? Just like those around her, she belonged... The lights glistened, keeping the swallowing darkness at bay from those who fell innocent. Car lights, street lights, building lights... Lights everywhere, guiding those in need. Just like the pure lights around her, she guided Raiden, the man who crept in the shadows with ease. As she strolled through the streets, her hips swayed side to side with rhythm, and the wind teased her hair with the comb of gentle waves. They hadn't been too far from her complex, one just off of Rapture Avenue. It wasn't the nicest of condominiums in the city, but it had been decent for a man who worked as a Lieutenant and lived on his own.

Now that she thought about it, what was in the house that she could cook...? She took a careless turn. She recalled some beef still available in the freezer, in which she could thaw out. The crosswalk figurine turned red. But had there been vegetables to accompany the meat in her famous beef stew? The girl's feet kept walking. Stew was easy to make. Fast, too. A red camaro came blitzing through the center lane, cutting off into the left before shifting back into the center. "That's what I'll do," she smiled, glancing up. "I'll cook up some stew!" she rose a clenched fist in success, grinning. "And if that fails due to lack of ingredients, I'll just ord—" The camaro's driver suddenly saw the girl crossing the striped walk, though slamming on the brakes wouldn't prevent anything; their front would have smashed right into her right flank. Her eyes caught the glimpse of the blaring light that came quickly at her, her right eye only having enough time to glance over to the corner to decipher what was coming right at her. A few people screamed, whilst other bystanders cringed away before their eyes could see anything happen.

The driver slammed on his brake frantically, his eyes closing as he saw his car come closer and closer to the girl's body.

.: The Night of Topaz :. [Raiden] Empty Re: .: The Night of Topaz :. [Raiden]

Irie smiled when she made the decision they'd eat at her place, he was pretty nervous about going there in the first place, but he preferred it to his place. He followed, as she had lead him to her place she shone in the light like some sort of angel in the night, while Irie crept in darkness as if he he were the opposite; a shadow. He made sure that nobody would come to harm her. The night was becoming absolute darkness as the moon was now hidden behind dark clouds. As the two had left the park together, well sort of; they reached the city where few cars were out this late aside from a few night owls and workers, and thugs.

This time Irie kept to the rooftops of buildings, he had a birds eye view of her. It was strange, he had just met her. But he felt like he wanted to protect her especially, she became.. special to him. Irie started to become lost in his thoughts about the fair maiden. He was becoming distracted, and lost sight of her for a moment, he panicked and scanned the street with his eye enhancement and found her, and the sight of the car coming right for her. Iries eyes widened in fear, he acted on impulse and jumped from the roof and ran down the side of the building, lightning sparked from his feet as he was pushing in the side of the building simply by running.

Iries mouth started gaping open as he reached for his sword, and jumped towards the two of them; pushing off the building with all his might. He shot forward like a lightning bolt, and quickly threw himself inbetween the car and the girl. The car hit him at extreme speeds, and he had nearly halted it; it felt like he was being pummeled by a jackhammer. It was no good, the car wasn't stopping. He had to stop his own body from being able to be pushed, he took his sword in hand and without hesitation planted it through his foot and the solid ground, just as the car was about to smash into the girl, it slowly came to a stop. Irie then hung his head down, a feeling of exhaustion had come over him. Slowly he looked up to Ivory, and gave a small grin; one eye shut from the pain in his foot. He quickly removed it from his foot, sharp pain resonated from his body. He took his feet out of the ground, it was completely torn up from him and the vehicle. And he turned his gaze to the man driving the car, he didn't look mad, more disappointed in the man. Slowly turning back to Ivory, he spoke a few short words before sheathing his blade. "Y-you're not hurt are you..?"

“When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove; but we know their presence by the love they create in our hearts.”

It all happened so fast.
It came at her like a wildfire, its bursting flames of crimson roaring towards her feeble body. It showed no mercy in its destructive path, no hesitance nor thought of halting. This crimson behemoth would not spare her life on this dazzling night, with the stars above blinking sheer fright and the cool breeze whistling with great might. The girl could feel the aching muscles in her body cry as they tried to force her body downward, her thin arms flying up and shielding her face as she bent down in an inefficient crouch. Trickling fingers tangled themselves in strands of gold hair, as if such a tight grasp would keep the nightmare from entering her soul. But of course, it wouldn't have protected this futile angel of lilac.

An atrocious clamor combusted throughout the whole area as the horrifying sound of metal being disturbingly torn apart roared amongst the streets, shards of glass and metal flying past the crouched girl. The whimpering tires screeched like provoked entities as they were forced to stop, faint eruptions of electricity sparking in the quiet air before her. And then it fell silent. It felt like an eternity in this agonizing silence, the broken angel awaiting Death to invite her in. But no such entity came for her soul. Had she not been wanted by the Gods above...? Had she not been worthy enough to be cast in such a harmonious haven? No pain had struck her, so she had to of died immediately after such a forceful impact...right?

"Y-you're not hurt are you..?"

And then, then the most gracious sound ever wound its soothing layers of tranquility in the depths of her ears. That voice...that voice of cordiality. She knew it too well. Exhaustion and pain had tainted it, though, causing her gripping fingers to break loose from the tangled golden fibers that clung to her head. Torpidly, her face peered between the space that her arms hadn't shielded, her face distorted by fear's rusted blades. And then she saw him. Almond eyes grew wider and wider by the second, the irises that mocked the feathered petals of a syringa flower tumescent by the Seven Swells of crystallized tears. “Raiden...!” she gasped in a breathless sob, pushing off of the cement ground and crashing into him. He had stopped the car. He had stopped her from joining the gods above. He had been her savior. The angel's delicate arms reached out for him, and she nestled her face in the crook of his metallic neck and shoulder, one small hand pressed tightly against the midst of his shoulder blades, and the other against the back of his head. Silent tears fell against his armored shoulder, Ivory biting her bottom lip to keep it from trembling. “I s-should be asking y-you that question,” she choked out in a mere whisper, pulling away slightly to look at him. A faint hue of red had splashed her lower lids, the tears having left moist streaks upon her porcelain cheeks. Her eyes quickly analyzed him for any major injuries, though the armor prevented her eyes from detecting anything beneath. Looking past him now, her hands softly slid down to his chest as she did so, getting a good look of the ravaged car, a cloud of blackness starting to slither out from beneath the hood. She blinked her wide eyes a few times, forcing fresh tears to saunter down her cheeks. “I believe...you did more damage to the car, than it had to you...” she breathed, flabbergasted by the sight.
