Species: Vârcolac: There are many versions of Hybrids in the world, but this one is considered the oldest. The mix between a vampire and a werewolf is scientifically impossible, but that goes the same for any supernatural creature, since they don’t play by the same rules as humans. There are a few main points to be covered, but first the origin of such a creature needs to be explained. Legend says that these creatures were one of the first beings to be created, long before werewolves or vampires. These beings were said to be perfect in every way and it was that perfection that brought the downfall of their race. It is said that the gods that were first proud of the Vârcolac, soon began to fear them. They believed that the Vârcolac would gain the power to one day destroy them and rule over everything’s, so in their fear of the Vârcolac the gods placed a curse on them to rid themselves of the Vârcolac. The curse’s effect was fast and effective, soon some Vârcolac found that the sun burned them, while others found that they were forced to change into a wolf like creature when bathed in the light of the full moon, and hatred in the two groups for each other started to grow at an alarming rate. The gods curse was simple, the dominant trait in each Vârcolac took full control and split the Vârcolac into two groups creating the first groups of werewolves and vampires, then they made sure that the two groups hated each other to the point where they would never come together and work together, because the gods feared that they would one day find a way to bring the two groups together and be one being again.

The legend of the Vârcolac of course is probably nothing more than a fairy tale, but some facts do suggest the legend has some form of truth. One of these facts is that werewolves and vampires have history of distrusting and hating each other. Another fact is that when a werewolf and a vampire do overcome a difference and attempt to have a child, that child takes on the species of the mother and doesn’t create a hybrid. Just with those two facts, it would be safe to assume that the Vârcolac is nothing more than a myth, but that would be incorrect for there have been less than a dozen cases of a Vârcolac to have been found, so this draws to the conclusion that Vârcolac are not born but made. This brings to one of their major abnormalities and that is how a Vârcolac made. When a hybrid has a child, it takes on the dominant trait of the mother no matter the race, and a Vârcolac is sterile in the sense that it can’t bit a Human and change them into a hybrid, vampire, or werewolf. This is because both poisons are in a hybrids body, and since they are both deadly to him, they Vârcolac’s body creates antibodies that mutate the poison into a source of protection form the poison of a vampire or werewolf bite. This mutation of course causes another poison to be created, and this is how a Vârcolac is made. For a Vârcolac to be created another Vârcolac must bite a creature that has one of the other poisons in the body already, and when the Vârcolac poison enters the creatures blood stream, it starts to mutate the new hosts DNA in order so it may incorporate its self into the system, there is only a 1% survival rate of host while transitioning into a Vârcolac, this brings to the conclusion that only werewolves can become Vârcolac, since the poison needs a living host. This of course brings to the point of the Vârcolac poison, the Vârcolac chooses when the poison enters his bite, the reasoning for this is because when a Vârcolac poison leaves its body, its loses its immunities during the bite, giving it a 99.9% chance of dying form the remaining poison in his body.
Now that the creation of a Vârcolac has been covered, the next thing is how a Vârcolac survives. A Vârcolac can survive off of blood like a vampire, but since a Vârcolac is still alive he also had the ability to survive off of normal food also, and also because of the lack of needing to only survive off of blood he is able to retract his fangs until they are needed.

Next point is the strength and weakness of a Vârcolac. A Vârcolac has half strength and speed of a vampire, He also doesn’t burn in the sun, though if he is out in direct sun, his strength does does severly weaken because the vampire DNA goes into a dormant state form the UV radiation, another note is unlike werewolves the Vârcolac doesn’t have to worry about silver burning his skin though it stabbed or inhales it, it burns and can kill him like a normal werewolf. The next part is transformation, a Vârcolac isn’t able to fully transform into a werewolf instead he transition into a sort of primal form. This basically means while retaining his mind and human form, the Vârcolac gains the strength and speed of a werewolf added to his own. There are of course a few changes to his body, mostly being his eyes turn pitch black and his hair grows down to the middle of his back and he starts to grow claws. The major down side to this form is that it puts a mass amount of physical stress on his body, making it so he can stay in the form for a short amount of time and is left physically drained when coming out of the form. Another minor down side is he can use it once a day, and when attempting to activate it more than once puts his life at risk.

Appearance: Vergil stands about 6’3 and weights roughly 200lbs. he has short white hair that he keeps slicked back, his eyes are a greyish red. Vergil wears a blue long coat with three tails and a snake like pattern on the right side of the jacket. He also carries around a katana with ornate bronze guard the handle has the traditional gold wrapping, with black ornaments, and the guard is octagonal. The blade has relief of a dragon at the endpoint of the hilt. The scabbard is black, made of traditional lacquered wood, and features several metallic ornaments on its far end. it also features a yellow sageo, though the cord is rarely used to tie the katana to the waist.

Personality: Vergil is normally a very cool minded person that will think things out fully before rushing into a situation. Even when he is thrown into a situation without being prepared, he has been known to quickly scan the problem and figure out a plan. Vergil also believe in fighting for his beliefs be it physically or with words, which brings to another part of Vergil, he loves and hates to fight all at once. He tries to avoid it, but enjoys the thrill of proving that he is the dominant fighter around. For the most part through Vergil is good hearted person, but with a loose side that can cause him to go to extreme length to achieve his goals. He believes in protecting loved ones, but he at the same time will put there life in danger if his goals call for it.

Back story:

History: Vergil doesn’t have many memories about his family, but the one that he remembers well, was on this 8th birthday when a huge dog like creature broke through the front door of his home and slaughtered his parents. Fate however shined on Vergil that day, when the creature attacked Vergil, the young boy was able to stab the creature with a small silver dinning knife causing the creature to howl in pain as he fled form the house, leaving Vergil with nothing but a bite mark on his right arm. Vergil didn’t leave the spot where the creature attacked him for days until finally someone stopped by and saw what had happened. He was quickly taken to a hospital to get treatment for his wound, and the first knight he was there was the first time that Vergil turned into a werewolf. Though he did extreme amount of damage to the hospital, the security there quickly put him down, and the next day Vergil found himself at a T.A.P.T building, having his information entered into their database. Finally form there, Vergil was transferred to a small no named orphanage where he spent his childhood with other children of his kind.

Vergil’s life at the orphanage was to simply put, hell on earth. The owner of the place treated the children like dirt. He only saw them as free labor, and he used them as such. When the rare times that a person did come to adopt, the owner made sure only his select favorites were picked form. As the years went by Vergil started to hate other people, he distant himself form every person around him. He was fifteen when fate decided to smile on Vergil again. This kindness came in the form of a man that made a surprise visit to the orphanage and saw Vergil, before the owner could hide him and most of the children away. The stranger quickly adopted Vergil, despite the owner trying to convince him to pick another child. Vergil didn’t understand why but something about this man’s grey eyes that he trusted, and went with him, never to see the orphanage again.

Vergil’s new father lived out in the country, and Vergil’s life wasn’t what he expected it to be there. The man revealed that he was a werewolf, just like Vergil and wanted to take down the T.A.P.T system, so Supernatural beings could live in peace and not be used for everything. This lead to Vergil’s training in swordsmanship; Vergil spent the next five years training under his father and grew to favor the fighting style, Iaido, which involves attacking with both the sword and scabbard, though he learned many other forms. One thing that Vergil never liked was the use of guns, for some reason they always seemed so alien to him. Then one knight Vergil found his father sprawled on the floor coughing up blood. As Vergil’s father slowly started to die, he revealed to Vergil that he wasn’t a werewolf, but a mix of a werewolf and a vampire, known as a Vârcolac and that Vergil needed to become one. Without warning his father then bit into him before Vergil could react. Instantly Vergil felt a burning sensation course through his body, it felt like he was being torn apart. The pain grew and grew till it forced Vergil to blackout. When Vergil finally woke up days later, he found a pile of ash where his father had once been. Vergil never knew what happen to his father the night he died, and deep down he knew that he never would know what happened. Vergil left the small home and ventured back to the city where he spent months in peace until people started to show up expecting him to do jobs for them.

Vergil spent the next two years doing things form haunting to being a bodyguard for mortals all because they found him in the T.A.P.T database. With each passing job Vergil started to look for more and more ways to get out of their system, but found it was impossible to do so unless he was dead that was then when Vergil knew exactly how to get out of the system, and almost right on time he was hired for a bodyguard job, only to be told later that he was being used to kill a certain lieutenant of the police force. Vergil wasn’t one for being told what to do when it comes to fighting, but went along with it because he knew that it was his ticket out. Vergil watched the young lieutenant for days until he found his opening to attack the man with plenty of people around. Vergil jumped the man and quickly turned into a grapple on the ground, until he was forced away from the man. During the time the two were apart the best thing for Vergil happened, the lieutenant pulled out his pistol and told Vergil to stand down, but Vergil rushed the man and took four shots into the chest sending Vergil to the ground appearing to be dead. Later after being presumed dead since the shots punctured his lungs and would have killed any human or werewolf, his body was taken to the morgue to be cremated since he had no living relatives. Though before his body could be burned, Vergil attacked the lone man that was set to burn his body. Knocking the man out quickly, Vergil switched clothing with the man and started the cremation process, and then left the morgue without anyone giving him a second glance.

Vergil went into hiding for a year to make sure no one figured out what he had done, before taking on a new last name and presented himself as a simple mortal. Vergil has since spent two years building up his reputation as a human trying to stand up for super naturals and stop the T.A.P.T form forcing Super naturals to show everyone what they are. During the years Vergil has had many protest rallies and avoided being arrested countless times, all why making people believe that he was nothing more than a good hearted human.
